Gospel musician, independent recording artist, and school administrator, Tevis Harris along with his recording group faVor, a group that comprises his family and friends, will debut their upcoming new singles “Dear Jesus” and “It WIll Work Out” in live concert entitled “Keep Winning Live 2.0” featuring gospel renowned artists Vincent Bohanan, Kim Person, Pastor Luther Barnes, and the brand new 252 Community Choir in Rocky Mount, NC on August 5, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Truth Tabernacle Ministries Church, 704 Arlington St., Rocky Mount, NC 27801. Tickets are $25 for General Admission and $60 for VIP and can be purchased on Eventbrite.com using the words Keep Winning Live 2.0.

 

Tevis Harris & faVor’s single “Begin Again” feat. Wanda Barnes has gained national attention and has received numerous music award nominations in several categories. In 2021, the group received a personal invite from prestigious music organizations and Stellar Award winning and syndicated radio stations and personalities to perform during the Stellar Award Weekend Pre-show performances. Recently, the group performed on the main stage at the Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards in Jacksonville, FL.

 

This is Tevis Harris & faVor’s second live concert appearance. The group will sing many of the songs from the “Keep Winning” album and debut their new singles “Dear Jesus” and “It Will Work Out” scheduled to release on all digital platforms in August and the late summer of 2022. Tevis Harris & faVor are also open for booking and are scheduled to perform in many church services and concert venues over the next several weeks. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s 2.0 concert will be donated to Ripple Effects, a local charity that is a community collaboration hub, that offers resource counseling, life skills workshops, case management, and other services designed to address holistic wellness.

 

Tevis Harris is known for his powerful high energy vocal performances and the “Keep Winning Live 2.0” concert will be nothing short of this! The new single “Dear Jesus” presents a lyrically captivating letter with a contemporary urban sound that is sure to lift the spirit and engage audiences young and old. The new single “It WIll Work Out,” featuring Pastor Latoya Brewington, once again exposes Tevis’ artistic lyrical talent and unveils his ability to move audiences through lyrically profound and inspirational music and captivating choral sounds. Tickets are $20 for General Admission and $40 for VIP and can be purchased on Eventbrite.

 

Tevis Harris & faVor’s brand new single “Begin Again” feat. Wanda Barnes was featured on the Lonnie Hunter Morning Show as the @GETITDONE Guest/Song of the Week. The group and song were also featured on Inspiration 1390, on New Music Friday, the Willie Mae McIver, Beyond the Praise and Liz Black syndicated radio shows and other internet and streaming venues across the country, and the Stellar Award Winning All Nations Radio. GOSPEL ARTIST TEVIS HARRIS AND FAVOR RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO "FIGHT" AHEAD OF FORTHCOMING DEBUT GOSPEL ALBUM

ROCKY MOUNT, NC (Wednesday, August 21, 2019) —

 

Gospel musician, independent recording artist, and school administrator Tevis Harris along with his recording group faVor, a singing group that consists of several of his friends and relatives, released their debut digital single "Fight" featuring James L. Knight, Jr., which is available now on all digital platforms.

​

Written by Harris and co-produced along with Mark Green, "Fight" is the lead single on Harris and faVor's forthcoming album due out later this year. The project will feature a compilation of praise and worship and traditional gospel musical selections. Additionally, the music video for “Fight” was filmed in downtown Rocky Mount, North Carolina and premiered via YouTube. Watch the music video for "Fight" here.

Harris describes “Fight” as “a lyrical reminder that although challenges might arise in life, we all must continue to pursue our goals, vision, and blessings.”

​

Tevis Harris started singing at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Rocky Mount as a young boy and went on to sing in various children’s, youth and school choruses. He has worked as a fifth-grade science teacher, a National Board-certified teacher, an assistant principal, stints as an adjunct instructor at Nash Community College and N.C. Wesleyan College. and currently an elementary grades principal at Rocky Mount Preparatory School. Harris also currently serves as director of worship and choirs at Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He is married to Janeé Avent Harris and they have one daughter, Carsen Olivia.
