Singer, songwriter, worship leader, director, and producer, Dr. Tevis Harris is a Rocky Mount, NC native and currently sings and serves in ministry in his hometown. He and his family attend New Life Church under the leadership of Pastor Tim Suber.

Tevis started singing in the church choir as a young boy and found that he was musically gifted. He has been a background vocalist for several artists and musical productions. Over the years, he has had the amazing privilege to sing with legendary and award-winning artists such as Bishop F.C. Barnes & Company and Pastor Luther Barnes and the Red Budd Gospel Choir and Restoration Worship Center Choir.

His first single, Fight, was released in July 2019 and was his first musical production as an independent artist. The song features the group faVor, composed of several of his friends and family.

 

His brand new single, Begin Again, from the Keep Winning album released on January 11, 2021, is sure to stir your soul, uplift your spirit, and encourage your heart. He was featured on the Lonnie Hunter Morning Show as the @GETITDONE Guest of the Week. The song was also featured on Inspiration 1390 on New Music Friday and on many Stellar Award Winning and syndicated radio shows.

His sophomore album, Keep Winning, delivers a gospel experience like never before and was released on June 5, 2021. The Keep Winning album is a diverse compilation of praise and worship, contemporary and urban gospel music.

His Christmas single, Hope Is Alive, released on November 4, 2021, has a contemporary gospel feel that is sure to inspire the heart. Its promising sound and unique vocal arrangement captures the very essence of the holiday season.

 

His single entitled It Will Work Out, released February 1, 2023, featuring Latoya Brewington, is a soulful, heartfelt, and passionate reminder that all things work together for our good. It Will Work Out is yet another memorable and timeless musical reminder that when seemingly hopeless situations come your way, you can rest and be assured that our savior is too big to fail. So whatever you are going through is going to work out fine. The song captivates audiences with its catchy tune and repetitive lyrics and will resonate with gospel music lovers around the world. 

 

In the late spring of 2023, Tevis Harris & faVor will release a brand new single entitled Dear Jesus. This heart pumping summer jam will have you waving your hands and dancing to its unique beat and sound while bobbing your head and singing the catchy lyrics.

In addition to being a dynamic worship leader and choir director, Tevis is an accomplished educational administrator and presenter who loves to serve in his community. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

 

He is married to Dr. Janeé Avent Harris and they have two children, Carsen and Nolan. Tevis honors God for his unmerited favor and spiritual growth. He counts it all joy for all that God has done and is going to do in his life.
